1. Not roomy. With a floor area of 64 square feet, the Cypress 4 is smaller than quite a few of the 167 other 4 person tents we have looked at.
2. Only one door. With just one exit to get outside in the middle of the night, it could disturb other campers that are sleeping.
3. No Vestibules. If you want to keep your dirty shoes, clothes, and backpacks protected from the elements, you must keep them inside the tent.
4. Rainfly does not totally cover the tent. The rainfly only covers the ceiling and part of the tent body from the top. Meaning it might not protect against heavy downpours.
5. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, there is one sold separately designed for the Cypress 4 footprint Even though the floor may be made of PE tub-style, it is still better to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
6. A tad heavy for backpacking. Even though the Cypress 4, looks like a small tent, it is not probably the best choice for backpacking as it weighs 9 pounds. This is quite a lot more than many other backpacking tents
7. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have many qualities to be positive about. The sloping sides do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.
