Summary: Favorable Reviews

Campers who have used the tent mentioned: The mesh will undoubtedly keep the bothersome insects off of you, and it is simple to put together. Guylines are also sufficient to secure the tent in poor weather. My new screenhouse is fantastic; I love it!

Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

People who bought the tent noted: Although it is easy to assemble, it would take around 15-30 minutes if you are setting it up on your own. A bit on the heavy side also. Might as well have a partner in carrying it. Definitely not the one you would use under extreme conditions like heavy rain or wind.

SPECS AND CONFIGURATIONS

The Northern Breeze 12 Screen House has two doors and a peak center height of 8' 5, which is a tiny bit more than the average height of the 18 other 12 person tents we have examined With 144 square feet of room inside, it is a lot smaller than some other 12-person tents, and it would be quite cramped for you and, up to eleven other campers during the whole of the 3-seasons, this tent is suggested for use in, larger tents like this one can make an awesome choice for groups that enjoy having loads of space inside of their tent.

One of the sweet things about cabin tents is, that the sides of the tent are near vertical making for a sizeable interior, this allows for plenty of headroom at the sides inside, making it feel much bigger than a dome tent, they also, tend to have large sleeping areas, making them great for groups. Normally cabin tents will be used by people going on a camping trip in a car or a truck as they are quite heavy when compared to dome tents. This dose though make them well suited to colder nights.

Underneath you can check out a list of the tent's strongest and weakest points.

PROS

  1. Freestanding. The Northern Breeze Screen House can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not need to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the ground with the included steel stakes and guylines.
  2. Tons of Headroom. With 9% more headroom than similar size tents, one can easily count this as a plus.
  3. Internal storage. It is good to see Eureka has added a gear loft and pockets in the interior to store some of your things.
  4. Has awnings. The awnings protect the walls of the tent.
  5. More than one door. With 2 doors, it is easier to get in and out of the tent, in the middle of the night if needed.
  6. Breathable. The Northern Breeze's interior uses a mesh fabric on the inside of the tent, and this helps maximize the flow of air. With the extra ventilation, and this tent is great for use in the summer.
  7. Other sizes are available. Eureka has also made this model available in Other Sizes.

CONS

  1. Sensitive to wind. Because of its size and shape, the Northern Breeze may not do best in strong winds if it is not firmly secured with the provided guy lines and stakes. Even though the tent is listed as freestanding in all but very calm conditions, one would need to stake and tie it down correctly.
  2. Not spacious. With a floor area of 144 square feet, the Northern Breeze 12 is smaller than quite a lot of the 19 other 12 person tents we have looked at.
  3. No windows. With no windows it is not easy to keep the tent ventilated on a hot summers night.
  4. Only one room. The Northern Breeze is recommended for 12 campers, some other tents of a similar size have more than one room allowing for a little more privacy.
  5. No Vestibules. If you want to keep your dirty shoes, clothes, and backpacks protected from the elements, you need keep them inside the tent.
  6. Heavy. Even though heavy is not in it self a negative, it is worth noting that the Northern Breeze 12, weighs 31 pounds and has a packed size of 14 x 36 inches. Clearly it is designed for camping with a vehicle and would not be super easy to set up on your own.
  7. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of tough fabric but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, more so on rough terrain.

CONCLUSION

4.6 Stars Logo

Our Ratings: 4.6 STARS

Eureka's Northern Breeze 12 Screen House tent is great for car camping. Here are a few other cool things not already mentioned above which, we noticed and liked, while reviewing the model: New peak venting offer ventilation , Vertical side walls maximize internal space and Excellent UPF 50+ sun protection.

With exceptional ratings, a decent amount of reviews and a center height of 8' and 144 square feet of area to sleep, this tent is like your very own miniature castle. This will enable you together with 10 other campers to enjoy some real quality time enjoying nature. We found a decent amount of pros about the tent that you can read through above.

If you found this page looking for an endorsement on this actual tent, our view is, it would make for an awesome buy. In case you just happened to arrive on this website while looking for a brand new tent having never heard of this manufacture or this model previously, it is perhaps a good idea to look at some more comparable tents.

Value for money: As far as value for your dollar, this tent is undoubtedly more costly than the average cost of all the eighteen, twelve-person tents we have taken a look at, all alone this is not a negative thing. We also need to take a look at other factors in detail, as we do for every tent.

When we tally up the overall score of a single tent, we consider loads of areas, looking for things where the tent could beat out other very similar tents and where it is lacking. On this occasion, with a total rating of 4.6 and the price data above, we can observe that with a price point of $679.95 info_outline Eureka's Northern Breeze 12 Screen House is a fantastic bargain though it could be thought of as very expensive when set side by side with similar tents.

The ratings show that the quality and dimensions the tent provides make it a remarkable choice for people searching for a tent that will last for many years. It should make an ok choice for most campers searching for a comfortable three-season cabin tent to go camping in, that should serve you well for years to come.
