2. No Vestibules. If you want to keep your dirty shoes, clothes, and backpacks protected from the rain etc, you need keep them inside the tent.
3. Rainfly does not wholly cover the tent. The rainfly only covers the ceiling and part of the tent body from the top. Meaning it may not protect against heavy downpours.
4. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, there is one available separately designed for the Hawthorne 4 footprint Even though the floor may be made of 75D 185T polyester taffeta, it is still better to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
5. A little heavy for backpacking. Even though the Hawthorne 4, looks like a small tent, it is not ideal for backpacking as it weighs 11 pounds. This is quite a lot more than many other backpacking tents
6. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have heaps of qualities to rave about. The sloping sides do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.
7. Storage Space. because of the size of the tent, one cannot store a lot of stuff inside..
