Purchasers said: We bought the four person dark room tent. To begin, one of the poles was starting to crack at the end straight out of the box. Then, once the poles were inserted into the sleeve and bent to set up the tent one side was too long and wouldn't fit. We even switched the poles and still ended up with the same issue. Not sure if it is the poles or the tent that is not correct. We were at our camp location for a first cub scout camp out and could not get it replaced. Four seasoned camping adults could not fix the issue. After one nights use the pole that started with a small split is now split to the middle. This tent is going back and we will try something different.
Campers stated: Good Value. Have used it so far for 3 Camp outs 2 -- 2 night and 1 6 night. Withstood very bad rain storm, but Power Cord Port leaked --zipped up, so must watch after storm... keep bedding away from that corner. Dark room is nice and ventilation is ample --have had no morning dew inside tent so far. Quick setup one person. Buy a heavy duty tarp for bottom if placing Cots in it. Will it last many years, we shall see. Very ample space for 2 people (Queen mattress) + Storage. Folds nicely into small footprint. Good car camping tent...not suitable for back packing. It is a 3 season tent only.

The Sundome 6 Dark Room Screened has two windows and two doors and a maximum center height of 6' 0, which is a little bit less than the average height of the 118 other 6 person tents we have studied. With 100 square feet of space inside, it is a tiny bit smaller than some other 6-person tents, and it could be a little tight for you and, up to five other campers during the whole of the 3-seasons, this tent is approved for use in, larger tents like this one often can make a really good choice for groups that appreciate having heaps of room inside the tent.
Some of the cool things about dome tents are, that they are generally speaking light, making them simple to carry. In nearly all instances, tents used for backpacking are of the dome type. They are usually, freestanding and very easy to set up. In good weather, you can do without securing the tent with stakes and ropes, not that this is suggested.
Dome tents are easily the most common of all the other sorts of tents you will find when camping. They tend to do better in bad weather than other types, allowing rain to roll off the slanted walls, unlike cabin tents that have flat tops, resulting in the water pooling on the top. The simplest dome tent should have a square floor, slanted walls two or more poles which cross in the middle of the roof. Due to the way they are made, it is generally thought of that they are best for up to a maximum of 6 people.

Value for money: In terms of value for your dollar, this tent is significantly cheaper than the usual cost of all the one hundred and eighteen, six-person tents we have studied, this itself does not make it remarkable value for money. We also need to take into account other things in detail, as we do with each tent.
When we determine the valuation of an individual tent, we regard plenty of areas, looking for things where the tent could outperform other very similar tents and where it is not quite as good. On this occasion, with a total score of 4.9 and the price data above, It is simple enough to recognize that with a price of $170.00 info_outline The Sundome 6 Dark Room Screened is an awesome buy and fabulously cheap when compared with comparable tents.
