Summary: Favorable Reviews

Currently, there are no campers who have used the new 2020 LX tent and written a review yet! The build and style are nearly identical to the older Copper Canyon Model, which has lots of reviews. People mentioned: That the earlier model, sets up quickly and within minutes, light rain and didn't get any leaks. It's very roomy, and the whole system is engineered to go together with no tools or mallet needed. Definitely room for cots if you desire and plenty of headroom. Incredible value and easy to put up and take down. Overnight it rained a lot and not a drop inside the tent. Comfortably fits a double and twin air mattress.

Summary: Unfavorable Reviews

Currently, there are no people who have used the new 2020 LX tent and written a review yet! The build and style are nearly identical to the older Copper Canyon Model, which has lots of reviews. Campers mentioned: That with the earlier model, the door does tend to stick because of tightness at the top. The storage bag seems exceptionally lightweight compared to the tent and poles. As a precaution, it would be best to purchase a tarp to protect the floor. This is a massive tent, so it's not designed for backpacking.

SPECS AND CONFIGURATIONS

The Copper Canyon 4 LX has four windows and one door and a peak center height of 7' 0, which is 21 inches more than the average height of the 139 other 4 person tents we have examined With 64 square feet of space inside, it is a tiny bit smaller than some other 4-person tents, and it could be a little cramped for you and, up to three other campers during the 3-seasons, this tent is suggested for use in, smaller tents similar to this one often can make an awesome choice for people that like spending plenty of time outside of the tent enjoying the fresh air.

One of the benefits of cabin tents is, that the sides of the tent are near vertical making for a spacious interior, this allows for a lot more headroom at the sides inside, making it feel much larger than a dome tent, also, they tend to have wider floor areas, so they are great for families. In general cabin tents most often used by people going on a camping trip in a car or a truck as they are quite heavy when compared to dome tents. It dose though make them well suited to cooler months.

Underneath you can find an account of the tent's strongest and weakest points.

PROS

  1. Freestanding. The Copper Canyon LX can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not even have to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the ground with the included steel stakes and guylines.
  2. Lots of Headroom. With 21% more headroom than similar size tents, one can easily count this as a plus.
  3. Has Gear Loft. It is good to see Eureka adding a gear loft in the interior to store some of your things.
  4. Has awnings. The awnings protect the walls of the tent.
  5. More than one window. With 4 openings it is easier to keep the tent cooler on a hot summers night.
  6. Breathable. The Copper Canyon's interior uses a mesh fabric on the inside of the tent, and this helps maximize the flow of air. With the extra ventilation, and this tent is great for use in the summer.
  7. Other sizes are available. Eureka has also made this model available in Other Sizes.
  8. Low price. It is a great deal for a 4 person cabin tent that provides this much space. Not many tents available on the market give this level of quality for only $79.99

CONS

  1. Susceptible to wind. Because of its size and shape, the Copper Canyon may not do best in strong winds if it is not firmly secured with the provided guy lines and stakes. Even though the tent is listed as freestanding in all but very calm conditions, one would want to stake and tie it down correctly.
  2. Not roomy. With a floor area of 64 square feet, the Copper Canyon 4 is smaller than quite a lot of the 139 other 4 person tents we have looked at.
  3. No Vestibules. If you want to keep your dirty shoes, clothes, and backpacks protected from the rain etc, you need store them inside the tent.
  4. Rainfly does not completely cover the tent. The rainfly only covers the ceiling and part of the tent body from the top. Meaning it might not protect against heavy rain.
  5. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of Polyester taffeta but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
  6. A little heavy for backpacking. Even though the Copper Canyon 4, looks like a small tent, it is not ideal for backpacking as it weighs 17 pounds. This is quite a lot more than many other backpacking tents
  7. Storage Space. Due to the size of the tent, one cannot store much stuff inside..

CONCLUSION

5 Stars Logo

Our Ratings: 5.0 STARS

Eureka's Copper Canyon 4 LX tent is perfect for car camping. Here are a few other nice points not already mentioned above which, we found and liked, while reviewing the model: Large mesh windows with waterproof curtains offer scenic views and plenty of ventilation, Near-vertical walls create lots of standing room and are ideal when camping with air mattress and cots and This has the same sturdy frame, fabric and coatings as our original. The windows on the Copper Canyon do zip up the sides to where the LX provides coverage with a toggle at the top. The most exciting new feature of the LX is the extended fly for extra weather protection and a dry entry way..

With wonderful ratings, and a minimum headroom of 7' and 64 square feet of space to enjoy, this tent is like your own miniature flat. It will allow you together with 2 other campers to spend some really enjoyable moments enjoying nature. We found a decent amount of pros about the tent that you can read through above.

If you found this page looking for an endorsement on this specific tent, we consider, it will make for a great buy. If you just happened to land on this website while looking for a brand new tent having not heard of this manufacurer or this tent model previously, it is possibly a good thing to check out some more similar tents also.

Value for money: When thinking about value for your money, this tent is a cheaper than the standard cost of all the one hundred and fifty-nine, four-person tents we have looked at, this alone by itself does not make it remarkable value for money. One should also take into account other areas in-depth, as we do for each tent.

When we measure the overall score of a single tent, we look at a lot of conditions, searching for things where the tent could outperform other very similar tents and where it is coming up short. In this case, with an overall score of 5.0 and the price data above, It is simple to spot that with a cost of $79.99 The Copper Canyon 4 LX is a good deal and astonishingly cheap when compared with similar tents.

Its overall score shows that the build and capacity the tent gives you were not skimped on to finish up with a price unquestionably below the usual price for comparable tents. It will make a fantastic choice for nearly all campers looking for an appropriate three-season cabin tent to go camping in, that will serve you well for years to come.
