5. Durable, water-resistant floor. The floor material is 70D taffeta nylon polyurethane & DWR, which is a substantially thick and high-strength fabric. 1. Not spacious. With a floor area of 54 square feet, the Elixir 4 is smaller than quite a few of the 141 other 4 person tents we have looked at.
2. Lacking in Headroom. With 15% less headroom than similar sized tents, one can see how this could be a negative factor for some campers.
3. No windows. With no windows it is not easy to keep the tent cool on a hot summers night.
4. A tad heavy for backpacking. Even though the Elixir 4, looks like a small tent, it is not ideal for backpacking as it weighs 9 pounds. This is quite a lot more than many other backpacking tents
5. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have heaps of attributes to rave about. The sloping sides do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.
