1. Freestanding. The Big House Deluxe Green Leaf can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not even have to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the ground with the included steel stakes and guylines.
2. Vestibule. Having one vestibule. Gives you a place to store shoes and other things that can get dirty, muddy, this is a huge plus.
3. Has Gear Loft. It is good to see Big Agnes adding a gear loft in the interior to store some of your things.
4. Has awnings. The awnings protect the sides of the tent.
5. More than one door. With 2 doors, it is easier to get in and out of the tent, in the middle of the night if needed.
6. More than one window. With 2 openings it is easier to keep the tent cooler on a hot summers night.
7. The rainfly completely covers the tent body. The rainfly covers the whole body of the tent from the top to the bottom and has a waterproof rating of 1500mm. Meaning it will easily protect you against heavy rain.
8. Available in other sizes. Big Agnes has also made this model available in Other Sizes.

CONS

1. Sensitive to wind. Because of its size and shape, the Big House may not do best in strong winds if it is not firmly secured with the provided guy lines and stakes. Even though the tent is listed as freestanding in all but very calm conditions, one would want to stake and tie it down correctly.
2. Not roomy. With a floor area of 75 square feet, the Big House 6 is smaller than quite a few of the 107 other 6 person tents we have looked at.
3. Only one room. The Big House is recommended for 6 people, many other tents of a similar size have more than one room allowing for a little more privacy.
4. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, there is one available separately designed for the Big House 6 footprint Even though the floor may be made of Polyester, it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
5. Out of Stock. Unfortunately this particular tent is not currently in stock. It is still on the manufactures website the last time we checked.
