1. Freestanding. The Longs Peak Fast Pitch can support its own weight on any terrain. It does not need to be staked down in most cases. But in case of strong winds, it is always best to secure it to the floor with the included steel stakes and guylines.
2. Internal storage. It is nice to see Coleman has added a gear loft and pockets in the interior to store some of your things.
3. Has awnings. The awnings shelter the sides of the tent.
4. Breathable. The Longs Peak's interior uses a mesh fabric on the inside of the tent, and this helps maximize the flow of air. With the extra ventilation, and this tent is great for use in the warmer months.
5. Available in other sizes. Coleman has also made this model available in Other Sizes.
6. Low price. It is a great deal for a 4 person dome tent that provides this much space. Not many tents available on the market provide this level of quality for only $119.99

CONS

1. Not spacious. With a floor area of 63 square feet, the Longs Peak 4 is smaller than quite a lot of the 159 other 4 person tents we have looked at.
2. No Vestibules. If you want to keep your dirty shoes, clothes, and backpacks protected from the elements, you must keep them inside the tent.
3. Rainfly does not totally cover the tent body. The rainfly only covers the ceiling and part of the tent body from the top. Meaning it might not protect against heavy downpours.
4. Footprint not Included. There is no included footprint, The floor may be made of Polyethylene D but it is still best to protect it further with a footprint, especially on rough terrain.
5. Not the best Ratings. Unfortunatly the Longs Peak 4 has some of the worst ratings of all tents on optimumtents.com
6. A tad heavy for backpacking. Even though the Longs Peak 4, looks like a small tent, it is not probably the best choice for backpacking as it weighs 9 pounds. This is quite a lot more than many other backpacking tents
7. Sloping walls. Even though Dome tents have many attributes to rave about. The sloping walls do tend to make it all the more smaller inside.
8. Storage Space. Due to the size of the tent, one cannot store a lot of stuff inside..
